Eden Grace Seaborne (BSc VP)

Eden is a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and EFHD practitioner. Eden grew up with rescue dogs, and she began her relationship with horses when she took her first riding lesson on “Tonto” 18 years ago. Ten years later, her childhood wish to have a horse of her own came true - twice - when Danny and Tacuma came into her life.

She has worked professionally in the equine industry for 6 years, firstly as a member of a national hunt race yard team, responsible for the care of the owner’s own horses, dogs and children, before taking the role of Herd and Facilities Manager at IFEEL, the internationally recognised equine therapy training centre, ensuring the welfare of both horse and humans, alongside completing a Level 5 Diploma in Equine Facilitated Human Development.

She currently works with Hascombe Equestrian, caring for a range of sports horses, including international show-jumpers and dressage horses, but enjoys taking the key role in the rehabilitation aspects of the Centre, including dry and aqua treadmills, and Equusir therapy box.

Eden always knew she wanted to work with animals, and her interest in exploring psychotraumatology and the relational healing power of horses led her to study Equine Facilitated Human Development so she could support other humans through their life challenges.

Whilst working and learning at IFEEL she had the opportunity to learn biomechanics and groundwork from renowned specialists. These experiences, as well as rehabilitating her own horses through injury, inspired Eden to pursue a degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, graduating with first class honours.

She is passionate about the interrelationship between these two domains, recognising that the owner’s confidence, awareness and relationship with the animal (and therapist) can influence long-term treatment outcomes; her research dissertation explored the interaction of owners, practitioners, and horses as part of the rehabilitative process. The testimonials Eden receives reflect the compassionate, grounded and nurturing presence that she brings to her work.
